Sherri Mitchell – Weh’na Ha’mu Kwasset

Sherri Mitchell – Weh’na Ha’mu Kwasset was born and raised on the Penobscot Indian reservation. She received her Juris Doctorate and a certificate in Indigenous People’s Law and Policy from the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law. Sherri is an alumna of the American Indian Ambassador program, and the Udall Native American Congressional Internship program. Sherri also received the Mahoney Dunn International Human Rights and Humanitarian Award, for research into Human Rights violations against Indigenous Peoples. She was a longtime advisor to the American Indian Institute’s Healing the Future Program and currently serves as an advisor to the Indigenous Elders and Medicine People’s Council of North and South America. She is the Founding Director of the Land Peace Foundation, an organization dedicated to the global protection of Indigenous rights and the preservation of the Indigenous way of life. Prior to forming the Land Peace Foundation, Sherri served as a law clerk to the Solicitor of the United States Department of Interior; as an Associate with Fredericks, Peebles and Morgan Law Firm; a civil rights educator for the Maine Attorney General’s Office, and; as the Staff Attorney for the Native American Unit of Pine Tree Legal. Sherri is the author of the award-winning book Sacred Instructions; Indigenous Wisdom for Living Spirit-Based Change.

Pat McCabe – Weyakpa Najin Win

An artist, activist, and grandmother, Pat McCabe is a bridge between indigenous wisdom and the modern world. Her openness of heart and clarity of vision have touched people all across the globe. Through her speaking, writings, art and ceremony, Pat reframes questions about sustainability, balance, power and gender. Pat devotes her work to supporting the next generations in being functional members of the “Hoop of Life” and upholding the honour of being human.

Vicki Noble

Vicki Noble is a feminist artist, writer, healer, and wisdom teacher, author of eight books, including Shakti Woman: Feeling Our Fire, Healing Our World and The Double Goddess: Women Sharing Power. In the late 1970s, Noble co-created, with Karen Vogel, the round feminist Motherpeace tarot cards revising both divination and world history to include women. In the late 1980s, she founded and directed the Motherpeace Institute in California, and published an award-winning quarterly journal, SnakePower: A Journal of Ancient and Contemporary Female Shamanism.

Vicki has traveled and taught internationally, leading pilgrimage groups to sacred Goddess sites around the world and facilitating workshops and seminars; her books are published in numerous languages. She is retired from the Women’s Spirituality Masters Programs at CIIS (California Institute of Integral Studies) and New College of California in San Francisco, and Sofia University in Palo Alto (formerly called ITP). She adapts Tibetan Buddhist Dakini practices for her women students, holding private intensives in Santa Cruz, as well as Motherpeace Certification programs.
